Elizabeth "Libby" W Meyer

MACON, GEORGIA- Elizabeth "Libby" Wolfe Meyer, age 89, passed away on February 6, 2011 in Macon, GA. A Rosary will be said on Tuesday, February 8 at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 320 12th St., Columbus on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM.

Mrs. Meyer was born on May 4, 1921 to the late George Edward Wolfe and Cecelia Brescia Wolfe at home in Columbus, GA at 5th Avenue and 12th Street. She was a lifelong member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Mrs. Meyer was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Patrick Meyer.

Survivors include her two children, J. Patrick (Glenna) Meyer, Jr. of Macon and W. Michael Meyer of Miamisburg, OH; four grandchildren, Elizabeth M. Walker of Macon, W. Michael (Brittney) Meyer, Jr. of Troy, AL, J. Patrick (Christina) Meyer, III of Charlottesville, VA and Dorothy Blair (James) Hodge of Macon as well as five great-grandchildren.
