Born in Sapporo, Japan in 1930, Emi was a military spouse to her late husband Jackie Lanier Talbert. She was married to the love of her life Jack for 57 years before his passing. Emi and her husband Jack, owned the Golden family rec center on Buena Vista road in Columbus, Georgia for 30 years. Every month, throughout the summertime, they would invite patrons to their home for a BBQ party to show their gratitude.
In her prime, Emi was only 95lbs, but was a strong, big hearted, generous and loving person to everyone she met. The one thing that made her smile and laugh the most was being with her family. Her hobbies were gardening, pottery, and sewing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Lanier Talbert, parents, Yasou Domon and Huruno Domon, brother's, Harou Domon, Hiroshi Domon, Uzulu Domon, Makoya Damon, and her sister, Shigeiko Domon.
Emi is survived by her son, David A. Talbert, daughter-in-law, Jacqueline A. Talbert, granddaughter, Amber Michelle Colliflower, grandson's, Jacob Shane and Joshua Stephan Talbert, Great-Granddaughter, Kallianna Elizabeth Ciarpella, great-grandson, Aiden Michael Ciarpella, great-granddaughter, Alizabeth Anne Domon Talbert, brother, Katsuyasu Domon, sister-in-law, Juniche Domon, cousin, Tomiko Asanuma, nephew, Takato Domon, niece, Aya Domon, nephew, Juriche Domon, nephew, Matusumi Domon, nephews, Robert O'Brien and Richard O'Brien, niece, Kee O'Brien. great daughters-in-law, Natalie Talbert and Megan Talbert, great son-in-law, Timothy Colliflower, great grandchildren, Meghin Talbert, Timothy Colliflower III, and Zurie Colliflower.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 28th, 2025 at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907, with a Visitation starting at 10:00AM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus Georgia 31907.
