

A chapel service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, 31907 with Reverend Bill Mayhew officiating. The family will greet friends and family following the service.
Mrs. Holton was born August 3, 1916 in Talbot County, GA, daughter of the late George Mack and Susie Carlisle Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holton was preceded in death by her husband, Willard A. Holton, Jr.; three sisters, Mary Purcell, Lillian Seaver, and Edith Gibson; two brothers, Alton Allen, and Forest Allen.
Survivors include one son, Willard A. Holton, III and his wife, Dixie of Phenix City, AL; one daughter, Judy Powers and her husband, Duane of Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren, Joann Johnson and her husband, Carl of Clifton, VA, Jason Horne of Orlando, FL, Barbara Holton of Atlanta, GA, Matthew Holton and his fiancé, Emily Gissendaner Marx of Snellville, GA, Susan Baucon and her husband, Mark of Atlanta, GA, Hal Grimes and his wife, Wendee of Chapin, SC, Ben Grimes of Phenix City, AL, and Susan Edwards of Columbus, GA; four sisters, Vivian Collier of Woodland, GA, Lois Littlebear of Columbus, GA, Alma Mainor of Smyrna, GA, and Sue Pratt of North Brook, IL; one brother, Calvin Allen of Greenville, SC; numerous great grandchildren.
The family would like to express many thanks to Dr. Curtis Sorensen, Reverend Bill Mayhew, Sarah Croft, Carola Rambo, Vanatie Collins, Donzie O'Dell, and Jeanette Harvey of Vista Care Hospice for their love, care, and support.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Vista Care Hospice in memory of Mrs. Holton.
