Forest Lemoris "Marcell" Carpenter

Columbus, GA- Forest Lemoris "Marcell" Carpenter, 54 of Columbus, GA passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014.

He was born in Columbus, Georgia on March 26, 1960 to the late Mary Jo and Jack L. Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter was a 1979 graduate from Jordan Vocational High School. He loved to work in the garden with flowers, a diehard NASCAR fan and football fan. "Marcell" will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. He is preceded in death by JC Shivers, his children knew him as Paw Paw, a dear friend.

Funeral service will be Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Edgewood Hall with Pastor Michael Cain Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 in the St. Elmo room at Striffler-Hamby; Columbus, GA. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery.

Forest Lemoris "Marcell" Carpenter is survived by his daughter, Amber LeAnne Carpenter; son, Forrest Jack Carpenter; sister, Mary Cain; mother of his children, Pamela Sue Woodall; stepson, Christopher William Woodall; nephews; Michael Cain, Jr. and Jason Cain; great-nephew, Courtlandt Cain; great-nieces, Ciara Cain and Bella Cain; dearest friend, Shelia. The family would like to thank the staff of the Wound Center and Words of Wisdom for the meals provided to Mr. Carpenter.
