

Frank Allen Heath, 83, of Cataula, Georgia born on August 8th, 1938 passed away on Sunday September 26th, 2021 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. A graveside celebration of Frank’s life will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
After graduating from Jordan Vocational High School in Columbus, Georgia, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy as an Electricians Mate Fireman Apprentice. Shortly after completing his duties in the United States Navy, he became an insurance salesman at the Life Insurance Company of Georgia. Later in life, Frank, was self-employed in the lawn care business while also caring for his mother. When life slowed down for Frank, he was able to live a very blessed and peaceful life with his loving wife, Maxine Heath.
Together Frank and Maxine enjoyed tending to their beautiful property, sippin' sweet tea, and playing UNO with their grandchildren. One of Frank's favorite pastimes, and one of the things that made him very well known to his friends and neighbors, was his garden. Frank enjoyed harvesting and selling the fruits of his labor which included muscadines, pecans, blueberries, tomatoes, and many other vegetables and fruits.
Frank was a long-time member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ellerslie, Georgia. He was also involved with the church's group called Carpenter's With Christ. During his time with the group, Frank helped maintain the church’s grounds, helped with general maintenance, and was even able to attend disaster relief missions in Tennessee and Louisiana.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, O.B and Alberta Heath, his wife, Lillian Maxine Heath, his sister Joyce Heath Weaver, and his granddaughter, Alyssa Baltzell.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Baltzell of Weatherford, Texas, his son, Glenn Canady and wife Renee of Newark, DE, his step-son Joshua Canady and wife Rosie of Cleburne, Texas, step-son James Canady of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a niece, two nephews, many loving grandchildren and a life-long friend and companion, Patricia Hudgens of Columbus, Georgia.
