Funeral Services will be Sunday, 2 PM, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Douglas GA. Interment will follow at Rocky Pine Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, from 6-9 pm at Ricketson Funeral Home in Douglas GA.
Mr. Meeler was born on February 7 1944 in Coffee County, Douglas GA. His positive outlook of life is one of the many wonderful qualities that will be missed. He often quoted, “It takes just as much energy to frown than it does to smile; I choose to smile!”
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Myers Meeler; two daughters Lisa Summerlin (Denny) of Columbus, Tonya Boatright (Sammy) of Alma; one son Fred Randall Meeler of douglas; five grandchildren; Laken Taylor (Matthew) of Douglas, Amari Perez (Jeshua) of Columbus, Autumn Summerlin of Columbus, Cody Knight of Douglas, Cole Knight of Douglas; One great-grandchild Bently Taylor and many other family and friends.
