Garrett "K-Lou" Moore Sr.

Funeral Services are scheduled at Galilee Baptist Church on Saturday, May 14, 2016, 2 p.m. with Reverend Gilbert Lynch officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday May 13, 2016 from 5-7 p.m.

Garrett, son of Eva Moore of Columbus and the late Johnnie Johnson, was born January 11, 1960 in Columbus. Garrett was a lifeguard at the A.J. McClung YMCA, he was also employed at Patti's Florist and Striffler-Hamby for many years. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. Garrett was a faithful servant of the Lord and member of Galilee Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Fred Moore and Reverend Michael “Ekiee” Moore.

He leaves to cherish his memories, four sons, Jermaine Wilson (Melissa), Garrett Williams (Jessica), Jarvis McLean and Garrett Moore, Jr., all of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Amaiya and Taylor Sullivan; and Justin McLean; two sisters, Patricia A. Taylor, Thelma J. West (late CSM (R) Terry L. West), Columbus, GA and three brothers, Willie Moore (Estella); Danny Moore (Joan); Delong Moore; one sister-in-law, Debra Moore, Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven on earth.”
