You were more than my Sgt in VietNam with 557CTT.   You were and still are a mentor to me via photos and memories.  A true leader, motivator, and confident one could only hope for. Being alive today at 75 years old has a whole lot to do with your example.  JWS, Vietnam, return, thank you, Rest In Peace forever with God walking point. Love you brother.

Its been almost 10 years now, and I still talk about you weekly..."I remember the time grampa...." " Grampa always said...."     Its in these moments I forget you aren't here because in my day to day life you are with me, its only when I talk about you to others that I remember you aren't here. This is why my memories are so bitter sweet. I miss you so much grampa. 

Denise, the day you married George was a day of blessing for our family. Our entire family has been truly blessed to have him as a part of our family.  He will truly be missed always.  There are some people who bring smiles, laughter, kindness, and a sense of well being to all, and this is what George did.  I never had to be concerned for your welfare because George always had your best interest at heart.  When you had to take business trips I knew George was keeping up with you in case you had trouble.  What a great husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, and friend  he was.  To you George, enjoy your rest now, and fly around the heavens with nothing to hold you back.  I salute you ranger.  You have been so much to so many.  I'm honored to have had you as my son-in-law. I knew george as my great grampa, but mostly my friend. He never got mad at anyone, he was a good man. It makes me sad to see him leave so early but i know oneday we will se him. again no more sorrow no more pain, we will all fly like birds one day to are destenation.

I consider myself blessed to be part of the Wade Family. His children and grandchildren are a very special part of my life and always will be. Denise and Mr. Wade gave my Parents and i strength a year ago during the illness and loss of my sister. i am truley blessed they were there giving thier love and support. My heart aches for the loss of Mr. Wade, but I know he is soaring high like the majestic eagle. Mr. George, as I called him, was a man who made a lasting impression on you the first time you met him. I was 10 years old when I was first introduced to him and he seemed like a real Pirate come to life! I was fascinated by him and a little scared at first. But as my friendship grew with Alicia I learned that underneath his pirate-like looks, there was a man who could laugh, love, and teach! You always welcomed me into your home and were a strong influence on your family. You will be missed by many and thank you for being such a wonderful Grampa to my best friend and sister Alicia. Say Hi to my dad Mark and my brother Adam for me in heaven. Rangers Lead the Way!

Denise, Shawnda, and family...my deepest sympathy for the loss of "Bud".  I only met him a few times but my dad spoke very highly of him always. My dad is Gene Schoonover, bud's cousin, from Moweaqua, IL...we lost Mom two years ago so I know how hard this must be on you all, especially the circumstances, but he died loving what he did and I know he is at home with the Lord and hugging my mom, which would drive dad crazy!! ha.ha. And George would have liked that, I'm sure!!  Dad was hurting when Bill called to tell him the news, I know...Bud was the only person I've ever known my dad to respect and admire in his life.  I remember thinking Bud was this huge guy from stories dad told us, and the first time I met him I remember thinking "this is BUD??"  ha.ha... Dad said "he's tougher than he looks, why..." then he'd go into one of his tales about how Bud did...  I can tell you he will be missed.  I pray for you all as you go through this painful process. Had the pleasure of working with George way back when I was a Flight Instructor and he was a Captain flying charter flights at CSG. When the schedule would allow, George would let me ride along and even fly when the airplane was empty so I could gain priceless experience in various airplanes. We had some great flights and I will always remember those times. Thanks George

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I met George while working at SunTrust Bank.  He became a very dear friend to me.  He will be deeply missed.  My prayers are with you.

I wasn't given the pleasure of meeting Mr. Wade, but have been blessed to work alongside, Ms. Denise. Your presence in the building is truly missed. We have been lifting you up in prayer for strength during your time of need. We even had a special Bible study for you. :) Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers, and we all love you.

I had known George for many years at CSG and he signed my tailwheel endorsement. He will be truly missed.

I knew George when I began my flight training at the airport 10 years ago. He was part of the airport family that took me in. I respected his advise and always enjoyed chatting aviation stories after normal business hours at the hangar. He was a leader and always willing to help any young and old pilots at anytime. George will be missed greatly. I pray that God will grant peace and blessings to his family.

We will truly miss George and all that he has imparted, knowledge in the passion and love of flight, of life and of the conviction of doing what is right! It had been an honor to have had my son, Alex and my husband, Ed to have been his last students. He has instilled much to both of them, which I know they will never forget as Alex pursues a career hopefully also serving his country in the Air Force! Your wise ways and honorable character will be sorely missed, yet rest assured, a part of you lives on in our family. May you enjoy soaring with the angels and our heavenly Father and may peace be with all of your family now.

George taught me to fly complicated aircraft in 1986 and has continued to administer the bi-annual flight reviews since then, the last one being one week before his accident.  We have flown many hours together and have become good friends in the past 26 years.  He was dependable, considerate and one who I would always want watching my back.  A Vietnam veteran and a true American patriot, one ready to defend his rights and the rights of others.  He will be truly missed by many.

You have never met me, I am Buddy's cousin on his father's side.  As a child and young girl I thought Buddy was definitely my most handsome male relative and secretly wished we weren't cousins so I could marry him.  I was (still am) so proud of his service to our country.  He really was one of those unknown heroes in Vietnam. Eventually the miles of separation that come with adulthood and the responsibilities of life completely separated our lives. I haven't seen him since our grandmother died in 1977.  I am so grateful to have known him, and shared a little of life with him.  I am truly sorry for his loss.  My condolences to his family.  America has lost a great patriot, friends and family have lost a good man.

I am very proud to be George's granddaughter. He was such an amazing man and I am forever blessed to have had him in my life. Although our time was cut short, I know that he is with our Father and was greeted with open arms and a silly smile. I love you Grampa
