Gloria Taylor Watson, 66, passed away on December 16, 2012. Graveside services will be held in Parkhill Cemetery on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Billy Duncan and Rev. Eric Ogden officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
Mrs. Watson was born on February 15, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Charlie Will Taylor and Murkel Watson Taylor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include her daughter, Angie Young Webb and her husband Eddie of Smiths, AL; her son, Darrell Young of Phenix City, AL; four grandchildren, Brittney Miller, Alex Gibbo, Jesse Frost and Alan Gibbo; four great-grandchildren, Noah, Landon, Kyla and Kendall; her loving companion, J.T. Watson of Columbus; her siblings, Eleanor Williams, Peggy T. Slaughter, Byron (Jeanette) Taylor, Patricia (Tommy) Brister, Renvia (Danny) Hunsinger and Wanda (Bill) Ogden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
