

Helen Pierce Herron, age 56, resident of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Midtown Medical Center. Graveside services are scheduled at Parkhill Cemetery on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, 3 p.m. with Reverend Lynn Meadows-White officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5-7 p.m.
Helen, daughter of the late Watha Luther Clayton and Apollonia Ziegler Clayton, was born December 4, 1960. She was retired from Goody’s Hair Products where she faithfully worked for over 20 years. Helen was an avid NASCAR fan and also Falcons fan and enjoyed playing the lottery.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-nephew, Pierce Thomas Andrews. She is survived by her companion of 23 years, Michael Anthony of Columbus; two sisters, Silvia (Kent) Ludwig of Columbus and Patricia C. (Michael) Lee, both of Columbus; two nieces, Jennifer (Thomas) Stubbs of Waverly Hall, Georgia and Patricia (Tommy) Hiller of Fortson, Georgia; one great-nephew, Camden Hiller; four great-nieces, Apollonia, Isabella, Macayla, and Kensington; other relatives and friends; and her beloved pet, Duke.
