J. Riley Stansell, 93, of Winston Salem, NC passed Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Brighton Gardens of Winston Salem. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Stansell was born December 8, 1927 in Walker Co., GA, the son of the late Ernest and Lula Stansell. Riley worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 43 years before his retirement. He was a member of Hilton Terraces Baptist Church and Rotary Club of Columbus, GA. Mr. Stansell enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his son, James L. Stansell (Nancy); grandchildren, James L. Stansell III (Molly) and Jaimie Luther (Justin); four great grandchildren, Ashton and Alexander Luther and George and James Stansell.
