

Graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Parkhill Cemetery with military honors. Family will receive friends at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia before the service beginning at 9:00 AM.
Jay was born March 19, 1934 in Prospect Hill N.C. to Anna Mae Eastwood. He married the love of his life Martha Raye Hill in 1960 in Phenix City, Alabama. He retired from the Military in April 1974 after 21 years of service. During his military career he received National Defense Service Medal of Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Vietnam Service medal w/ 4 Bronze Stars. He was a master mechanic and owner of Jay’s Auto Service before his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his mother Anna Mae Eastwood, loving wife of 45 years Martha Warren, and his daughter Paula Middlebrooks. He leaves behind a son Gary of Columbus, Ga, a daughter Kay Lenhart of Columbus, Ga (significant other Jimmy Ingram), Tammie Fleming (husband William) of Vicenza, Italy. Son-in-law, Michael Middlebrooks (wife Amy) of Ackworth, Ga. Grandsons Lewis Warren (Tesa Laughlin), Jarrett Warren (Hannah Williams), Ryan Lenhart, Jon Lenhart, Joshua Middlebrooks, Jacob Middlebrooks, granddaughters Stephanie Peaschek (fiancé Jesse Russell), Michaela Halley (husband Benjamin Halley) of Eglin AFB Florida, Kyrsten Heitkamp.
Mr. Warren, never came across a stranger, he was a kind, caring, and loving man who always helped others. He enjoyed playing Golf with the Dixie Senior League, working on cars, woodwork and his morning cup of coffee with his buddies at McDonalds. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and especially loved him.
