Janice Cotton, age 74, of Cataula, Georgia passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. A visitation of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907; funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM.
Janice was born May 31, 1946 in Chambers County to Aileen Mitchell Kelly and Jack Kelly. She grew up in Valley. After school she found a career in textiles, working for both Swift Mills and Marta’s Yarns. She married Danny Copeland Cotton, and they were married for 35 years until his passing. Janice enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and dominoes. She loved her family and was grateful for the time spent together.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Copeland Cotton; her father, Jack Kelly; and her mother, Aileen Mitchell Kelly.
Janice is survived by two brothers, Tony Cotton and Tommy Cotton; one sister, Helen Roberts; Janice is also survived by one niece, four nephews, and numerous friends of the family that will cherish her memory.
