Jean P Phillips Wiggins

Emma Jean Wiggins (Jean), 79, of Columbus died on Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at 1:00pm in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus. The family will receive family and friends April 29th, 2017 at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Road, Columbus from 11:30am-12:30pm.

Daughter of the late Alma Bolan and Sherman Phillips, Jean was born November 30th, 1937 in Enterprise, Alabama. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Jean was cherished by everyone whose life she touched. Always selfless, she placed the needs of others before her own, and had a servants heart. One of her many life’s accomplishments was her endearing marriage to Ralph L. Wiggins for nearly 62 years. Another was raising their two children , Randy Wiggins and Patti Mann, her grandchildren, Ashlynn and Emma Mann, and also helping to raise countless nieces and nephews.

She joins her brother, Lawrence Phillips, her sister, Betty Weldy, and her parents in God’s loving arms. She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph, her children, Randy and Patti, her granddaughters, whom she loved a “Bushel and a Peck”, Ashlynn and Emma, her dedicated son-in-law, Scott, and 2nd son, Kenny Harms. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Massey (Lester), and countless nieces and nephews.
