Jeanette Williams Hudson

Family will visit with friends on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus, Georgia. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Elbert B. Hudson, Jr.

Jeanette was born on October 31, 1927 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Pearlie Mae Cobb Williams and Willis Windham Williams. At a young age she went to work in the Textile Mills to help her family. Jeanette work in the Mills for over 40 years before retiring. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Jeanette will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pearlie Mae and Willis; her grandson, Jim Chandler “Chance” Hudson; her daughter-in-law, Trudy Hudson; her sister, Betty Sue Stone; and her brothers: Sammy Williams, Danny Earl Williams, and Bubba Williams.

Jeanette is survived by her sons: Jim Hudson (Debbie) and Tim Hudson; her grandchildren: Jennifer Pope, Jason Hudson (Pam), Kim Hudson, Sherman Craig, and Amanda Yingst; her great grandchildren: Stephen Pope and Dustin Craig; her sisters: Maggie Ann Yancey and Gloria Jean Hume; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
