Jeremy was born on October 11, 1973, to Linda Cook Grimm and William James Grimm III. Jeremy and his sister, Meschelle Leigh Grimm were raised by his mom and stepfather, Jack McClellan. As a child he enjoyed playing baseball with friends, cousins and his brother, Kevin McClellan. Jeremy admired his older brother; Brian McClellan’s bicycle moves and skateboard skills.
Shortly after Jeremy graduated from Jordan High School, he went to live with his aunt Vivian Long in Smyrna, Georgia where he learned about the plumbing trade from his Uncle Bobby Cook of Marietta, Georgia.
A proud server of our country, Jeremy was a former US Marine Corp at Naval Station North Island, San Diego. He was stationed at Yuma, Arizona and attended Arizona Western College. He was a former engineer in Afghanistan. He worked at Kuwait City and served at Forward Operating Bases at Sharana as well as Kandahar and Bagram, Afghanistan. In 2005, he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant E5.
He studied at Ashworth College where he got his Home Inspection with Honors in 2012; his certification in EMT and Advanced EMT in 2014 and his Associates in Science in Healthcare Administration in 2016. He also attended Columbus Technical College and Gateway Community College.
Jeremy was employed as an EMT at Pratt Whitney; as well as an Advanced EMT for Mid Georgia Ambulance in Columbus, Georgia. He worked as Director of Maintenance at Columbus assisted living homes. Jeremy also opened his own business named “Make Ready Renovations”.
Jeremy’s happiest moment in his life was the birth of his son, Ayden Jace Grimm on February 26, 2014. Ayden is Jeremy’s pride and joy. He constantly told his son how he loved him and is so very proud of him. Jeremy provided for Ayden and will continue to watch over his “mini-me” from heaven.
