Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 13, 2014 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler – Hamby, 4071 Macon Road. Rev. John Meadows and Tommy Mayton will be officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ward was born December 19, 1937 in Sabine Parish, LA., daughter of the late Harry M. Young and the late Linnie Longoria Young. She had lived in Phenix City and Columbus area since 1956 and was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Aubrey E. Ward, Jr.; two sisters, and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Aubrey E. Ward, Sr.; one daughter, Donna Ward; one step-daughter, Norma Ward Meadows; two sisters, Patsy Brewer and Margaret Lein; two brothers, James Young and Marshall Young; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
