

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 12 noon, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus.
Visitation for Mr. Cardona-Senati will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the funeral home.
Mr. Cardona-Senati proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Command Sgt. Major. Mr. Cardona was a Korean War Veteran, and a Vietnam War Veteran. Among the many awards he received are the, National Defense Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, 3 Army Commendation Medals, 8 Good Conduct Awards, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, and the Overseas Service Bar. Mr Cardona was also awarded the House of Heroes Award by the United States Congress. Mr Cardona was very family oriented, and was an avid gardener, and loved fishing. Mr Cardona often entertained his children and grandchildren with magic tricks.
Survivors include his loving wife, Nilda Rodriguez Cardona of 63 years, three daughters, Myra (Robert) Grammo, Zonia (Felipe) Mojica, and Nilda Cardona Bartlett (Charles, deceased), one son, Joe (Joan) Cardona, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
