Kathleen "Kitty" Plemons, age 91, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023. A visitation for the family and friends of Kitty will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Columbus, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia. Following the visitation, a graveside service will begin at 3:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia.
Kitty was a faithful member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her family. Kitty had worked at St. Francis Hospital in the Gift Shop and at Kinnett Dairy in the accounting department. Kitty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Kitty was born in Phenix City, Alabama on April 24, 1932; the daughter of Bernard M. Shavers and Eva Stringfellow Shavers.
Kitty is preceded in death by: husband, James Plemons; and a brother, Jerry Shavers.
Survivors include: her daughter, Mickie Washington (Ed); granddaughter, Shea Masterson (Josh); brother, Jack Shavers; sister, Judy King; and great grandson, Sam Masterson.
