Keiko Yasaka McConnell, 96, of Columbus, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 6PM until 8PM at the Greystone Summit Clubhouse at 5200 Greystone Summit Dr. Columbus, GA 31909.
Keiko was born on February 5, 1926 in Osaka, Japan. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing. Keiko was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was kind, generous and selfless. She loved each of her family members equally. Keiko also adored her two fur babies, her dog Rolo, and her cat Lulu.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor McConnell; children, Kenny McConnell, Duane McConnell, Sandy McConnell-Cramer, and Terry McConnell; daughter-in-law, Jan McConnell; grandchild, Abraham Buchans.
Those left to cherish Keiko’s memories are her children, Dennis McConnell of Paw Paw, West Virginia, Bruce McConnell (Donna) of Atoka, Tennessee, Kathy Kawalek (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, Florida, Mark McConnell of Blackshear, Georgia, and Brenda Culverhouse of Columbus, Georgia; 16 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
