I remember meeting my Nephew Buddy in April 1970 once I arrived back at my Mom and Dad's house in Hawesville, Kentucky  from serving 13 Months in The Republic Of South Korea with the US Army. When I stepped out of the Car after coming home from Louisville, Kentucky,  Buddy said "Hello Uncle Larry" and it really caught me by surprise because I didn't even know that my older brother Ricky was even married at that time! I soon found out that Ricky had Married Anne McGill from Columbus, Georgia and Buddy was her son from her previous Marriage.

Buddy and his Mother Anne who was now my Sister-In-Law were staying there in Hawesville with my Mother and Father for a while until they could get back down to Columbus Georgia to live.  I got to spend time with both Buddy and his Mother while they were there and they became close to me because they were now part of the Family.  After I left Home to make my journey to my next Duty Station at Fort Bragg, North Carolina I didn't see either one of them until my Dad's Funeral in June when Ricky came home from Germany for the Funeral and Anne came up from Georgia to be there also.

I seen My Brother Ricky, My Nephew Buddy, and my Sister-In-Law Anne in September for Labor Day Weekend and Ricky and I wrestled in the yard and Buddy really got a a big kick out of it but was really surprised when I flipped his dad over my Hip and threw him to the ground and Pinned him for the fall! Ha! The last time that I ever got to see Buddy was in December 1970 around Christmas time when my Mother, 2 Sisters and myself came to Columbus Georgia to see Mom's first Granddaughter Carolanne.

It was a good visit but we left the day after Christmas because I was wanting to spend time in Hawesville. 

I met Buddy about 25 years ago.  I was about 14 years old. I've been friends with his family for a long time. He loved to go out on his boat and fishing. He's always been someone you can talk to. The last time I seen Buddy before I left Columbus he was sick. He told me he was dying. I jokingly told him you're too mean to die Buddy. He laughed and he said "I guess you're right"  When I left I told him "I love you Buddy" he said "I love you too man" He was as tough as nails. A lot of people are missing you

Buddy has always been someone you always felt good to be able to say me and Buddy are good friends. Well i was much luckier Buddy made me feel like family. Really the whole Kidd family made me feel like i was family after Bryan became the older brother i never had Buddy became the father figure that i never had. From his ways of doing things to his metaphors on how he thought about things he didnt hold back making me feel right at home and he just gave me a since belonging , but that was Buddy there are no words to say how much him and Pam did for me just yesterday i told some one my name is Clancey Belflowers and they said thats right Bryan kidds little brother that didnt come from me just being Buddy's sons best friend but, countless days when i didnt see Bryan till me and Buddy got Home from work at 15 Buddy would take me anywhere on any job no matter how big or important jobs where they were never to big or to important where i couldnt go he let me know that there is nothing i cant do or figure out. Maybe it was if i couldnt figure it out i always knew to ask Buddy and he would figure it out  if nobody  could i be damned if Buddy didnt . Because Buddy was always one of the most important people ive met in my in my life playing a major role in my life he will missed more than anything i can say im just so glad that i can say Buddy was in my life and not just apart of it he will never be my farther but he did make me and Bryan brothers and for that i will never forget or stop missing Buddy kidd my prayers are with the family that i feel is my own.

I met Lawrence (Buddy) after losing 3 of our 4 parents late 2013. My mom had become my bestfriend and only confidant until her her death October 25th, Just days later on November 6th my old man's mother succumb to her long battle with Alzheimer's. This was the event that would only 32 days later would cause his father to pass away and join our mothers. I met Buddy after offering a mutual acquaintance a lift to visit Buddy. Buddy told the person to invite me in,after arguing with him she finally did as he requested. Buddy and I connected as if we had known one another our entire lives. It just so happened that Bill and I were packing to return to Florida.  Although, I never saw any evidence of him owning a dart board, when returning his bowl he sent back with the person I originally bought by, I grabbed a box of darts I had never used along with me and offered them to Buddy. As points out that there isn't any more of him have a dart board, one of his friends stated the actually had brought one for him that night.....From then on, Buddy and I became bestfriends, I would always find a chance to take the 3 hour ride from Florida as often as I could just to visit. Buddy had helped me discover Caramel Frappe's from McDonald's so when ever I came to visit I tried to always bring him a Frappe with me. I grew to love and respect him as he offered the same to me. I had worried about him when I  wasn't able to visit. Though him I met two special ladies, one whom had birth his sweet grandson,  sweet baby Kash. I have since developed and love for Davanea and Kash as if I was her mother. I hope that I can offer the two and others he was closest comfort and love the way he offered to me. I LOVE YOU Lawrence, please watch over us as we grieve your passing.
