Leroy Ward

Leroy Ward, age 59, resident of Columbus, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Midtown Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled on Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, at 2:00pm with Reverend Gerald Corbin officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at the Striffler-Hamby from 5:00-7:00PM. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.

Mr. Ward, son of the late George Washington Ward and Maggie Mae Massey Ward, was born April 23, 1956 in Slocomb, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Hall; and brothers, Jack Ward, Ray Ward, and Grady Ward.

Mr. Ward is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kathleen Ward; children, Kathleen Thomason (Scott), Leroy Ward Jr. (Emily), Jennifer Ward; grandchildren, Hannah, Abby, Joshua, Leroy Robert; sisters, Jeanette Smith, Teresa Golden, Jeanell Fuller; brothers, George Ward, Billy Ward; and numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
