Mrs. Golden started at Bellsouth in 1970 as a telephone operator. She was transferred to Smyrna in 1986 where she was head of Human Resources. After 47 years with AT&T, she retired. The phone company was her first and only job. Linda enjoyed cross-stitch and she loved her family. She spent her final days surrounded by her daughter, sister and beloved fur-babies. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs, Mr. Brownstone and Lucy, and her two grand-cats. She had a special bond with one grand-cat, Kesha, who stayed curled up to her neck until her final moments in her home. Linda was an amazing woman and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Kelli Dawn Sumner (Jason); sister, Catherine (Cathy) Glover; brother, Eddy Jamieson (Janet); grandchildren, Madison Dean, Jason Alexander Sumner (Julia), and Catlin Sumner Marshall (Robert Marshall III); great-grandchildren, Elora Marshall, Jason Alexander Sumner Jr., and Jessie Daniel Sumner; Step-great-grandchildren, Jeriah Pichon, Jairus Pichon, and Persia Pichon; and many beloved nephews and nieces.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Norma Charlene Jamieson and John Ellich.
