Linda Willetta Wilcher, 82, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. A Celebration of Life Graveside will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. Family will gather with friends one hour prior.
Linda was born on May 17, 1943, in Columbus, Georgia to Rosalie and Carlton Wilcher. She graduated from Columbus College with a bachelor’s in nursing where she then obtained her certificate as Cardiac Care Nurse. She was one of the first to open the cardiac care unit at St. Francis Hospital. She loved reading, traveling and rooting on the Georgia Bulldogs. Linda loved her family and caring for others. She also had a love for the Pekingese dog breed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlton W. Wilcher Sr. and Rosalie Wilcher; and her brother, C. Watts Wilcher Jr.
Survivors include her nieces, Kim Chapman and Kelly Jackson; her great niece, Lindsey Cooper; her great nephew, Hunter Poe; her great-great niece, Sloan Cooper; her cousin, Penny Baker and many more family and friends.
