I thought I added a message quite so time ago to my sister Lynne's Obit page.  However, I cannot find it.  I still miss Lynne so much and we were really just starting to become closer as sisters, comparing grandson stories.  She so loved her family and her grandsons and I often wished that I could see my grandsons, Gavin and Cameron as much as she was able to care for Maddox and Cooper.  She is sadly missed and my deep condolances to Jennifer, her family and Lynne's husband, Bill.

Dear Jennifer, Bill, family and friends of Lynne,
I've known Lynne for 29 years and I want you to know that her life was important.  She made a difference in the lives of many people.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  She had many friends and she will be missed.  She was a great teacher.  She taught first grade, Kdg. and pre-K at Ft. Benning for 29 years.  I worked along side her for most of those years.  Her room was always beautiful.  She spent lots of her own money to decorate the room and provide supplies and special things that her students needed to make sure they were successful.  She always had her lesson plans ready and she was prepared for class.  She loved the little children and provided them the quality education that she would have wanted her own grandchidren to have.  Over the 29 years she probably taught over 400 children how to read, write and do math.  She was a great teacher.  Lynne's life had value - her life made a difference.  
I'm thankful to have been her friend.  She was such a smart lady.  She knew a lot about everything.  I used to tell her that she should have been a medical doctor because of her knowledge of medical terms and information.
She had great musical talent.  She played the piano beautifully ( until her fingers began to change shape.  We were in a choral group at Ft. Benning and I learned that she had a beautiful singing voice.   She played handbells at her church the last few years of her life and enjoyed it.  Lynne shared her music with everyone.  Her life made a difference.
Lynne and I shared laughs, tears, and had so much fun together.  She came to every party I gave at my house and she always gave me a "Mary" angel for Christmas (that is the baby angel that sits on a cloud and is made by Mary).
I will remember her fondly.  She was a sweet friend and I will miss her. I'll always keep and eye on the door at Curves waiting for her to walk in (she had a distinct walk).
Lynne's life made a difference in so many people's lives.  I am one of those people.  
Good bye sweet friend..  Tell God and Jesus "hello" for me!

I am sorry to hear this news. I taught with Lynne at Patch Elementary. She will certainly be missed.

"Bill and Jennifer, I have retired and moved away, but on hearing of the passing of my friend, a dear friend my heart is touched. Lynne and I shared happy times in the classroom at Stowers Elem. on Fort Benning. I am so happy that we talked about a month ago and we laughed of old times. I told her I was coming to Columbus and she said we would have lunch. She will certainly be missed.

We have had the privilege of knowing Lynne and Bill because their precious daughter Jen married our son Jason. Our families have blended as one as we have shared special memories through the years. Lynne has been a wonderful grandmother to Maddox and Cooper, sitting in the floor for hours building train tracks, reading hundreds of books to Maddox, and taking care of Cooper so much of this first year of his life. We will always credit Lynne with instilling in Maddox such a love of books. She will be sorely missed in the Dempsey family.

Hoping your loving memories and faith in God will ease the pain of your loss.  You are in our prayers.

I am shocked and saddened by Mrs. Lynne's passing.  Wenesday night handbell practice will not be the same without her standing next to me.  Love and prayers to Mr. Bill and Jennifer.

Lynne will be deeply missed! May her friends and family be able to find peace during this hard time, and celebrate in the beautiful life that was lived for 63 precious years. God bless, from all of us at Curves.
