

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Mamie Yvonne Ware of Cataula, Georgia left her earthly bonds on July 5, 2016 to be with her lord and savior. She was born on February 11, 1937 in Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Nira McRae Parker and Marion McRae Chalker; brothers, Hubert McRae Jr. and Melvin McRae; daughter Jacqueline Lynn Ware, and beloved husband Samuel H. Ware.
She is survived by her sisters, Sara Taylor of Cataula, and Roberta Baker of Senoia; her children, David Howard Ware (Melinda) of Gloucester, VA, Donna Ware Gilmartin (Brian) of Cataula, Rebecca Louise Ware of Cataula, and Stephanie Ware Stewart (Willie) of Bay Minette, AL.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather Ware Lacomb (Ian) of Yelm, WA; Michael Stephens (Taylor) of LaGrange; Mark Stephens (Susan) of Ellerslie; Melissa Shumate Havens (Shawn) of Columbus; Shannon Sirls (Jim) of Columbus; Sean Gilmartin of Cataula; Daniel Bartlett (Amanda) of Columbus; and Eugene Dudley (Samantha) of Cusseta; her great-grandchildren Taylor Ware, Kaylee, Aiden, and Emma Lacomb; Hunter and Rowan Stephens; Courtney Trimm (Colin), Austin, Kaycee, and Raven Watkins; James and Landon Sirls; Mark Havens; Elizabeth Bartlett; Gage, Lane, and Dakota Dudley. Additionally, she has two great-great-grandchildren Kylie and Audri Trimm.
She had a very strong religious faith and was a member of Cataula United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting and ceramics. Our mother was thoughtful, caring, hardworking, compassionate, loving and so much more. It is difficult to put into words just how much she truly meant to everyone.
There will be a viewing at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home on 7 Jul 2016 from 6-8 pm and there will be a celebration of her life officiated by Reverend Dan MacMinn at the Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home on 8 Jul 2016 at 11:00 am with a procession and interment at Clowers Cemetery in Cataula.
