

Margaret grew up in Columbus and was a graduate of Jordan High School. She married Jerry Wood and they continued to make Columbus their home. Margaret was employed and retired as a Court Room Deputy in the Federal Bankruptcy Court here in Columbus. She lived her life with love, grace, and kindness which she offered to those that came in contact with her. She enjoyed her animals, dogs, raising plants, and spending time at the beach. Margaret felt strongly in caring for one another, she was a member of the Seventh-day Adventists Church, and she was an excellent decision maker. She cherished the opportunity she had to be a wife, a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she always looked forward to spending time together.
Margaret is preceded in death by: her parents, Evelyn and Hoyt; and her husband, Jerry.
Survivors include: her two sons, Rusty Wood, Kerry Wood, Daughter-in-law Umiatin Wood; Brother Thomas Slay, sister-in-law Marcia Slay; grandchildren, Andrew Wood, Rebecca Tew, A.J. Wood; and six great grandchildren.
