

Margie Ann Mobley August 1, 1929- July 26, 2015 Columbus, GA- Margie Ann Mobley, 85, of Hamilton, GA passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice. Funeral Service is scheduled on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Mountain Hill Baptist Church, 9630 HWY 219, Hamilton, GA 31811, with Reverend Jimmy Culpepper officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Mobley, daughter of the late James Lawson Smith and late Dessie Pearl Adams, was born in Columbus, GA on August 1, 1929. She graduated high school with the highest honors, and then attended the University of Georgia and the University of Auburn where she obtained her Bachelors in Science in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Mobley was a teacher and secretary for the Harris County School System for 20 years until she retired. She was a lifelong member of Mountain Hill Baptist Church, Georgia Power Ambassadors and Harris County Cattlemen's Association. She loved to travel, spend time with family and loved her hummingbirds. "I want to live my life where people see Jesus in me" was the phrase she lived by and quoted often. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Billy K. Mobley, Sr. Survivors include her son, Kim Mobley (Trisha) of Hamilton, GA; and her daughter, Dianna Hodge (Bill) of Roopville, GA; grandchildren Kasey Mobley (Bette). Tammie Shelnutt (Ben) and Drew Everett; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other friends. The family would like to extend the staff at Gentiva Hospice a very special thank you.
