Columbus, Georgia- Maria L. Yates, 89, of Columbus, GA died Friday, July 11, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral Mass will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Brian LaBurt officiating. Private interment will follow in Ft Mitchell National Cemetery according to Striffler - Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus.
Mrs. Yates was born February 16, 1925 in Scharding, Austria the daughter of the late Alois Ohlinger and the late Maria Ludmilla Ohlinger. She had lived in Columbus for the past forty eight years and was a charter member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Belinda Johnson; three sons, Luckey Yates, Randy Yates, and Gary Yates; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Ann, Ashley, Amy, Amanda, Abbey, and Dakota; four great-grandchildren, Ashton, Skyla, Devon, and Megan; three sisters and four brothers.
