I love you miss Paula. I have very fond memories of stay at your house and going fishing in the creek down the road with Barry.

I am truly devastated in the loss of Mark as I'm sure is the whole hospice family. Both Mark and Paula were a pleasure to work with as well as amazing friends. Mark went above in all he did and let the Lord iight his path.  Paula my heart breaks for you. Even though we don't have any doubt that he is with Jesus. We have lost our friend and mentor to many. I love you Paula and will continue to pray for God to wrap His arms around you and you will find peace. ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️

I was blessed to know and work with Mark at First Baptist Church over the past 20 years. We all know he has transitioned to a peaceful healthy life with Christ now

I was involved in bringing Mark to Columbus as Associate Pastor at Rose Hill Baptist where served many years. Mark became a close friend to my family and baptized both of my children. Rest in Peace dear brother.

Mark was in my Adult Choir at First Baptist in Buena Vista and his beautiful voice added such a depth of feeling to every anthem and cantata he performed in. His solos touched each heart in the room. I shall remember those moments and many more and miss his loving spirit!

We are sharing your sorrow as we just learned of Mark’s death. We know he’d been in declining health and are rejoicing with you that he has reached his eternal home and is present with Jesus where his suffering has ceased. 

Our years at Rose Hill will forever remind us of happy times we shared  together. May God hold you close and grant you all His Peace as you traverse the next days and years without your beloved husband, father, and grandfather.  You are in our prayers.

Mark finished his earthly race with heart-directed service and obedience and was, no doubt, welcomed into Heaven by the outstretched arms and words of Christ, “Well done thy good and faithful servant”.

So sorry for your loss. We knew Mark from First Baptist Church in Buena Vista Ga.,where my son Harold Grimsley was the preacher. Sending prayers for Paula and the family.

Mark was a dear Christian man who cared for so many people. I have fond memories of him while at Buena Vista First Baptist.

Mark will forever be missed. He was the beacon of guidance for every lost soul that crossed  his path in this life. I will truly miss him!  Times of singing and holding  hands and praying  and working  in the garden warmed my soul. I was there when he needed me and I feel so honored and blessed to have known who he truly was. I have always said; " it is not what we give one that they need that matters, it is what we give them that they don't ask for that matters".  When we can look past all our needs and see theirs;  "right where their heart shines",
 as if to light up their soul. Me and my husband will miss him beyond belief. Thank you Mark for always including me as family! and excepting me as your own sister.  Love Penny and Donnie

Mark was like family, we saw him twice on Sundays and on Wednesday nights and usually a few other times during the week. Mark taught the youth at Rose Hill Baptist Church from the time I was 13 until I was 18. Mark didn't just teach, Mark had this best friend named Jesus and he wanted Jesus to be your best friend too. Mark took Jesus out of the Bible and helped me see the real person. Mark led our Mission Trips every summer. When Bebe Huey (Dodd) and I went .Mark had us working with backyard Bible clubs in the morning, surveying neighborhoods in the afternoon and participating in the worship services each evening.  He taught us as much about the love of God through his actions as he did through his lessons
Paula and family, we love you. You are in our  prayers and on our  hearts.❤️

If you want to know what the definition of a great man is, Mark Chandler was just that. He and Paula have been more like family to my son Matthew and I for many years. He will be missed greatly although I am certain he is with his lord now. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you Paula and family.
