Martha A. Shehane, age 68, resident of Columbus, died on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 3 p.m. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Shehane, daughter of the late J.W. Shehane and Avie Dell Harris Shehane, was born July 26, 1944 in Columbus. She was retired from Jay Automotive, where she dedicated 28 years of faithful service. Mrs. Shehane was a member of Cascade Hills Church and a former member and officer of ABWA. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael Wayne Shehane and Donald Ray Shehane.
Mrs. Shehane is survived by one daughter, Tracy A. Lowry and her husband Mike of Columbus; three grandsons, Blake Lowry, Jacob Lowry, and Kaleb Lowry; numerous cousins and friends.
