

Mary C. “Kay” Tucker, age 84, resident of Opelika, Alabama, died on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral Mass is scheduled at St. Anne Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, 10:30 a.m. with Father Jake Almeter officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. Interment will follow at Main Post Cemetery, Fort Benning, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the Wynnton Room of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 6- 8 p.m.
Mrs. Tucker, daughter of the late Charles W. Crowley and Mary Elouise Nevitt Crowley, was born August 31, 1930 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was Catholic by faith and was a former bookkeeper for Goetchius House and receptionist for Southland Corporation (7-Eleven). Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband, William Jefferson Tucker, her step-father, Norman J. Riggs, and daughter-in-law, Janice Tucker. She is survived by two daughters, Carol A. Guy and her husband Charles of Bonifay, Florida and Linda K. Tucker of Opelika, Alabama; two sons, William H. Tucker of Crestview, Florida and Stephen D. Tucker and his wife Deborah of Columbus; eight grandchildren, Traci Missildine and her husband Brandon, Kimberly Chapman, Mary Catherine “Cathy” Tucker, Charles Guy II, Chris Guy and his wife Hollie, Shelley Munnerlyn and her husband John Lucas, William Tucker, and Patrick Tucker; eight great-grandchildren, Robert Zamora III, Jai-Lyn Chapman, Amaya Chapman, Abigail Guy, Christopher Guy, Michael Munnerlyn, John Edward Munnerlyn, and Andrew “AJ” Munnerlyn; one niece, Debbie Tucker; other relatives and friends.
