Mary Yarbrough

Mary Ruth Yarbrough, 72 of Fortson, Ga Passed away Monday June 28, 2021 at her home. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00am at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday June 30, 2021 from 6pm to 8pm at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home located 4071 Macon Rd Columbus, Ga.

Mary retired as Manager of Kearns Creations to care for her father until his passing. Mary was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Gran Gran and Friend. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite past time was playing card games with her friends and family, If you ever got the chance to play her favorite card games Phase 10 or Blitz with her, she would make you laugh and you would have a so much fun. You most likely lost the game but it was a blast.

Mary was born October 2,1948 in Eufaula, AL, the daughter of the Late George Lawrence and Emma Ruth Flake. She is survived by her loving Husband James (JJ) C Yarbrough, who never left her side, 2 children: Lisa Diane Sports and Kevin (Tracy) Sports, 5 Grandchildren that she adored Brandon (Chelsea) Wilgis, Morgan (Dustin) Spencer, Madison Sports, Kendall Sports and Daylen Sports-Parette, 6 great grandchildren: Masen, Lyden, and Amzie Spencer, Leighlan, Lexi and Lakynn Wilgis, One brother James(Syble) Flake, Brother In Law Sammy (Debbie) Yarbrough, Bobby Joe (Rena) Yarbrough, sister in law and best friend Shirrell Dean Markham and several Family members and friends.

She was loved by many and will be extremely missed. She was a ray of Sunshine even on the cloudiest of days.
