Michael Lee Kuntz, age 76, of Cataula, Georgia passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. A visitation for family and friends for Michael will be held Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. At Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Macon Rd in Columbus, GA. A private burial will be Monday.
Michael was born October 5, 1946, in Columbus, Georgia to his late parents, Jesse and Josie Mae Messick Kuntz. After High School he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from IBM as a Systems Engineer. Jesse enjoyed tinkering with different projects at home. He taught his sons how to take care of themselves and learn how to make repairs. He loved his family and visits from his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mike had many friends, and will be missed by all those that knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Snowden Kuntz; and his two brothers, James Curtis Kuntz, and John Franklin Kuntz.
He is survived by, his two sons, Jeff (Amy) Kuntz of Cataula, and Brian (Curtis) Kuntz of San Francisco; Grandsons, Trenton (Sharon) Kuntz and Brandon (Stephanie) Kuntz; great grandchildren, Amara Kuntz, and Luke Kuntz; nieces; nephews; other family members and many friends.
