Michael Earl Whaley

Michael Earl Whaley, 62 of Midland, GA. died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA, with Reverend David Helms, Reverend Frank Parr and Reverend Mike Ricker officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Whaley was born in Ft. Benning, GA. on April 4, 1949 to the late Woodrow W. Whaley and Ruby Graves Whaley. Mr. Whaley was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and was the Owner & Operator of Biscuit Equipment. Survivors include his wife, Kay Whaley of Midland, GA. two sons, Michael Scott Whaley of Columbus and Thomas Christopher Whaley and wife Jenny and two granddaughters, Anna Grace Whaley and Alice Kay Whaley all of Ellerslie, GA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Columbus Hospice, Wynnton Neighborhood Housing or Bethesda Baptist Church The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Columbus Hospice Team, Bonita Lewis, Debbie Allen, Rev.
