Mikaylah is also survived by her sister, Arianah Edens, grandparents, JR and Wendy Edens, great grandparents, Smokey and Bonnie Bartlett, uncles Joshua Edens (Eric Haywood), Trevor Edens, Anthony (Diana) Edens and John Edens. She was also loved by her community, especially her military supporters.
Mikaylah lived a wonderful and loving life while fighting Late Infantile Batten Disease. She enjoyed her sock monkeys, everything Disney, wearing dresses, beautiful bows and living her sassiest, princess life. She was blessed to have traveled the country to enjoy Disney World, the beach, the mountains and bringing joy to everyone around her with her glowing smile.
The Edens family is beyond grateful for all of the medical professionals that took care of Mikaylah, especially her nurses, Carol Thornton, Erica Tidman, Jennifer Leh, Adriane Upell, Lonnie McGhee.
A visitation to celebrate the life of Mikaylah will be held Saturday, May 4, 1pm - 4pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA. Please feel free to wear purple or teal to bring awareness to Batten Disease. In lieu of sending flowers, those who wish to remember Mikaylah in a special way may make a donation to Batten Disease Support, Research & Advocacy Foundation (BDSRA) https://bdsrafoundation.org/ or Animal Ark https://animalarkrescue.com/
