A visitation of family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. Interment will be at Parkhill Cemetery.
She was the middle child of five (5) and was preceded in death by her husband, Alvie Lee Harrison of almost 51 years; her son, Steven Randall Harrison; her sister, Louise and brother-in-law Robert Davis of Andalusia, AL; brothers, Curry Wilson Meadows of Andalusia and Charles Edmon Meadows of Enterprise, AL.
She is survived by her youngest brother, Joe Tom Meadows, of New Smyrna Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Ruby Lee Meadows of Andalusia, AL; her daughter Jeanne Arlene Sensing (husband Mike) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nell, as she was known to most, was a housewife and liked to work in the yard. She gardened and took pride in her flowers, sewed, refurnished antiques, built shelves and even laid bricks for steps. She would do all sorts of household things and seemed to continually work around her home.
She was a faithful Christian and let you know it when she spoke to you. She was a member of Mount Paron Primitive Baptist Church in Box Springs, GA. When she was moved into an assisted living facility, Cobis, she became an active member in the Source of Life Church.
