Paul S. “Bo” Brown, Jr., age 89, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011. Funeral services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 3:00 PM. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Mr. Brown was born to the late Paul S. Brown, Sr. and Odessa Brown in Phenix City, AL. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII in the European Theater where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Brown was retired from Civil Service at Ft. Benning after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Tarvin Brown.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Wayne Kube of Columbus, GA; a grandson and his wife, Dal and Lori Kube of Columbus, GA and a brother and his wife, Ray and Wyanne Brown of Columbus, GA.
