Peggy Harvey Bullard

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA.Peggy Harvey Bullard, 76, of Columbus, GA passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Columbus Hospice. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 pm Monday, June 20, 2016 in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00-5:00 pm in the St. Elmo Room, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA 31907.

Mrs. Bullard, daughter to the late Josephine Irvin and Heath Harvey, was born March 15, 1940 in Columbus, GA. She has lived in Columbus her whole life and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Bullard worked for the Merchants’ Association and the Better Business Bureau until 1965, and then took her mother’s position at Harvey Orthopedic Services until she retired in 2002. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Bullard is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bruce Bullard; daughter Josephine Denise Harden and step daughter Debbie Guillory. She is survived by her sister Betty Jo Anderson Dekle (Guy); step daughters Jan Ingram (Steve) and Angie Bullard; step grandchildren Candice Guillory Pewitt (Clint), Sarah Guillory Melvin (Keith) and Kristen Margaret Dye (Anthony); great grandson Camden Alan Pewitt; longtime friend and caregiver Mary Burch; God children Valeta, Mary, Columbus, Francine, Linda, Vicky and Priscilla; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
