Ralph Carroll, 81, of Fortson, Georgia, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, March 15, 2026. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia with a visitation one hour prior. A committal graveside service will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
Ralph was born on February 25, 1945, in Columbus, Georgia to Nettie Mae and Dallas Carroll. After years of working on the railroad, he retired from Norfolk Southern. He was a friend and caretaker to many and enjoyed playing with his pet bird, Casey, and his cat, Baby. He enjoyed nature and fed the squirrels and deer daily. Ralph liked to play the slot machines and won the lottery on March 7, 2026, when he was saved!
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Carroll; his daughter, Angela Tillery (Mark); 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
