Randy Edward Smith

Randy E. Smith, 56, of Midland, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018. He was born in Columbus, Georgia to Marilyn D. Posey Smith and Donald D. Smith. Randy graduated from Coosa High School in Rome, Georgia. He later moved back to the Columbus area with his family. Randy worked mostly for the City of Columbus in the Central Services Department. After working with the City of Columbus he went to work with Columbus State University as the manager of the printing department. Randy enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music. Randy was Christian and Baptist by faith, he attended Shorter Avenue Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia before moving back to Columbus. Randy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he forever be cherished in our memories.

Randy was preceded in death by his Dad, Donald D. Smith, Sister, Kathy Missildine, Stepfather, Willard Gray and his grandparents.

He leaves his Daughter, Mandy Smith; Mother, Marilyn “Dee” Gray; Brother, Stephen (Terri) Smith; Sister, Susan Gray; Nieces and Nephews: Crystal Smith (Bryan) Wood, Stephen Smith, Emerson Smith; longtime friend and Companion, Sandra Galvin; and numerous cousins and other relatives to cherish his loving memory.
