

Richard Ray Ogden, 58, of Cataula, GA, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Richard was born December 07, 1956 in Columbus, GA, to his late parents William and Betty Kates Ogden. He was a US Army veteran and had a career as a Certified Dental Technician. Richard was a member of Evangel Temple. He loved his family and had a passion for fishing. He shared his love of fishing with his family and friends by taking exotic fishing trips with them to the Louisiana Gulf Cost, and on the Amazon River.
The family will receive guests Friday, February 20, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 am, 1 hour prior to the 11:00 am Celebration of Richard's Life in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA. Interment with Honors will be at 1:30pm EST at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Seale AL, with Reverend Watson Mckemie and Reverend Eric Ogden officiating
Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one sister, Gail Taber, and one brother, James Michael Ogden. He is survived by his sister; Carroll (Gary) Grim of Riverview, FL; and his brother Bill (Wanda June) Ogden of Ellerslie, GA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many friends, and one special K9 “My Girl Sophie”.
