

Mr. Robert M. Causey, age 79, passed away on December 8, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Revered Floyd Aiken officiating. Pallbearers will be Marshall LeBleu, Will Land, Todd Tomlin, John Tomlin, Doyle Tomlin and Ran Tomlin. Entombment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery, Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Mr. Causey was born on August 30, 1932 to the late Cleveland and Josie Causey in Equality, AL. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Causey was retired from The Georgia Company as a mortgage banker after many years of service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Byron Causey and a granddaughter, Cheyenne Causey.
Mr. Causey was a true, dyed in the wool Auburn University fan. WAR EAGLE!
Survivors include his devoted wife of 55 years, Veda Causey of Columbus; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan M. and Robin Causey and Eric C. and Tammy Causey, both of Columbus; four grandchildren, Courtney and Marshall LeBleu, Whitney and Will Land, Madison Causey and Ethan Causey, all of Columbus; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce C. and Charles Johnston of Tupelo, MS; two sister-in-laws, Peggy Causey of Alexander City, AL and Betty Jo Tomlin; two brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Terry and LaBertha Tomlin and Doug and Judy Perryman; several nieces and nephews.
