Robert "Allen" Ruff Jr.

Funeral services are scheduled at Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Thursday, February 13, 2014, 11 a.m. with Chaplain Wayne Holloway officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 5-7 p.m.

Mr. Ruff, son of the late Robert Allen Ruff, Sr and Evelyn Virginia Parker Ruff, was born June 7, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a 1972 graduate of Hardaway High School and attended Rose Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Ruff was project manager for over 30 years at Synovus Financial Corp.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John E. Benchwick. Mr. Ruff is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy Estes Ruff of Columbus; one son, Robert Allen “Bobby” Ruff, III of Columbus; one daughter, Laura Ruff Jackson of Columbus; one granddaughter, Shelby Alyssa Jackson of Columbus; two sisters-in-law, Barbara E. Benchwick of Talbotton, Georgia and Elizabeth E. Parris (Bill) of Baltimore, Maryland; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
