A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with graveside services being held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 11:00am in Parkhill Cemetery.
Robert was born on April 15, 1984 to Rod and Estrella Thompson in Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from Kendrick High School in Columbus, then went Columbus State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. Robert was a Manager at Buckhead Bar and Grill, where he loved meeting new and regular customers. Robert was a Roman Catholic by faith and trusted in his God. He loved to travel, listen to music, go shopping, trying different cuisines and taking pictures. He loved capturing all the good times, creating memories that will last forever. Robert was a jokester, even if the jokes were corny he always tried to get a chuckle out of everybody. He stepped to the beat of his own drum, and was unique to say the least. Robert was an active member of the Men of D.I.S.T.I.N.C. Everyone who knew Robert will remember him as a loyal, funny, pure spirited, most patient, the “spark” in the darkest of times, beautiful soul. He will be missed immensely by those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lolita and Theodoro Dumlao; uncles, Theodoro Dumlao and Fred Tongson; brother, Jermaine James; and his beloved dog, Coco.
Robert is survived by his parents, Estrella and Rod Thompson; siblings, Danielle Price and Lei Thompson; a plethora of beloved cousins, family and friends.
