Rodger Trigg was my mother's brother. My uncle Rodger.  I had not seen him for over 40 years. He was only nine years my elder and I have fond memories of him playing with my 4 brothers and I when we were young. It gives me joy to read the kind words of memories shared by students and colleagues of his. If anyone has any type of picture of him I would love to see them.

I was fortunate to have Roger Trigg as my college professor back in 1974.  I tried to schedule my classes so that he would be my professor because he sincerely cared about his students and would go out of his way to help them understand any accounting issue.  Had it not been for him and his commitment to helping me understand the complexities of accounting, I probably would not be a senior partner in the public accounting firm  today.  We talked from time to time after graduation and he will certainly be missed.  My prayers and condolences to all the family and his peers.

Rodger was a kind and soft-spoken gentleman, and I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He was surely a wonderful colleague.

I’m sorry to hear about Mr. Trigg. My prayers go out to his family. He was one of my favorite professors at CSU. I’ll always remember…his name was Rodger not Roger. Because his name  was spelled the correct way. He always said that when giving his name! I’m sure he’ll be missed.

We lost a really good man.

Rodger was a mild mannered and humble person.  He was loved and admired by thousands of students in the College of Business at Columbus State University. His mark on Columbus/Phenix City lives on through his students.

I will miss him.

We have lost a valued colleague and outstanding educator with the passing of our fellow faculty member  Rodger Trigg. He was a solid teacher and a friend to his students, a man who cared about his profession and his students and faculty colleagues. Our deepest sympathy to the Trigg family.



Deepest condolences to the Trigg family on the loss of this great professor, gentleman, and dear friend.  I will always treasure our friendship.  Rodger and I became friends in 1970 at Columbus State University and served as colleagues until retirement.  He was so important to all of us.  We were truly brothers in education and lifetime friends.
I am honored that I had the opportunity to teach with Rodger and share some of his life, both personally and professionally.

Dr.  Trigg was a guiding light to Jo-Ann and myself for 35 years.  Jo-Ann met him at CSU.  Her was a professor of accounting there.  Since that time, we considered him a close personal friend and he continued to mentor Jo-Ann for many years.  It was truly great to have known him.
