Ronnie Lamar Skinner, 79, of Columbus, Georgia, transitioned to his heavenly home on November 26, 2023. A graveside service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907, at 1:00 pm.
Ronnie was a retired Mill Worker and Vinyl Siding business owner. He had a passion for restoring vintage antique cars –which he loved. His son became somewhat of a master mechanic thanks to the significant amount of time spent with his father working on cars. He spent his time hunting deer and taught his daughter and son the skill to hunt and enjoy the outdoors. Ronnie enjoyed fishing and his days of drinking “hat” beers in the yard. He had three dogs that he loved and a wife that cared and loved him beyond words. His family loves him beyond measure and will miss him dearly.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his mother, Emily Garner; beloved wife, Betty R. Skinner; and grandparents, Effie and Fred Holloway.
Ronnie is survived by his son, Ricky Lamar Skinner; daughter, Rhonda Renea Skinner; grandson, Christopher Skinner; brother, Rick Garner; bonus son, Robert “Bob” Arnell; and stepson, Richard Thomason.
