Russell Duane Jones

Russell Duane Jones, 63, of Columbus, died on June 4, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital. A Cryptside Service is scheduled on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Memorial Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road Columbus, at 11:00am, with Dr. Shane Green and Reverend John Fugh Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends in the cemetery one hour prior to the service beginning.

Mr. Jones, son of the late Benson Monroe Jones and Dorothy Thompson Jones, was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Mr. Jones was a truck driver for Ben Jones Machinery for 15 years. He also loved to fish.

Mr. Jones is survived by his sister, Donna Jones Craig; brothers, David Monroe Jones, Michael Bruce Jones (Lourdes); nieces and nephews, Angela B. Arnold, Kenneth B. Arnold (Christy), Amber Head (Adam), Alice Head, Autumn Morales, Lanie Ransom, Jennifer Nuessner (Scott), Madison Nuessner, Lauren Nuessner, Ridge Nuessner, Ashley Bloodworth (Jim), Grayson Bloodworth, and Cade Bloodworth.

The family would also like to thank Caregiver Hubert Key for his love and support in caring for Russell over the years.
