Ruth C Chandler

Funeral services for Mrs. Chandler will be 2:00 pm, on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum in Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Woodrow “Sonny” Fling officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus.

Visitation for Mrs. Chandler will be from 6-8pm, on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the funeral home.

Ruth C. Chandler was born May 20, 1921 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Willie Von Cook and Ruby Daniels Cook. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Chandler, and two sisters, Janet Bowen, and Mavis Griffin. Mrs. Chandler was a lifelong member of the 31st Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons; Jerry Chandler and his wife Linda of Columbus, GA, and Charles Chandler and his wife Ann of Stone Mountain, GA, two sisters; Mary Ellen Hatcher and Lessie Von Croom both of Dothan, AL, six grandchildren; Jeff, Jimmy, Robbie, Chris, Kevin, and Kim Chandler, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
