Sharon Elaine Parker, age 70, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Wednesday September 26, 2018. Sharon was born November 28, 1947 in Columbus, Georgia to Ruby Aileen Bolton and Grover Clyde Bolton. Sharon was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was an avid reader and Georgia Bull Dawg fan. Sharon enjoyed shopping and keeping up with Facebook. She would laugh at the rivalry between the SEC teams that her families were fans of. Sharon was a role model for her family who lived life to its fullest. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Sharon was preceded in death by; daughter Debbie Parker; father Grover Clyde Bolton and mother Ruby Aileen Bolton; brother-in-law Lauren McKay. She is survived by her husband, Donald Lee Parker; son Donald H. Parker; and step daughter Donna (Greg) Johnson; sisters Joan McKay and Patricia Collinsworth; grandchildren Hunter Parker, Reagan Parker, and Chloe Parker, step grandchildren Brian Johnson, and Brittney Shults; step great grandchildren, Ella Johnson, Clara Johnson and Holly Shults; niece Lori Kern; nephew Bryan Taylor; other family members and many friends.
A visitation for family and friends for Sharon will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. A Celebration of Sharon's life will occur Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM, in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, followed by a committal service at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907.
